The historic centre of this spa town features a wealth of historic spa buildings, such as the Pump Room, Spa Theatre, Palais Weimar.. Set in the green surroundings of the park and spa facilities, they are ideal for a short excursion into past history.
Elisabeth Park, to which you can gain access by going from the historic spa quarter below Villa Feodora across Friedenstrasse, is another green oasis in the town. With its ponds and duck houses, it offers peace and relaxation during strolls along well-tended paths between shrubs and trees . Directly from Elisabeth Park, you can walk via Parkstrasse past the Rose Garden, older town houses and new residential buildings to the Town Park. These gardens newly created in 2009 are set in a pastoral landscape dominated by areas of vegetation and stretches of water. A viewing balcony provides a harmonious link between urban construction and the park.
