Visitors can see a large number of rare, frost-proof and hardy plants illustrating various themes. The centre of the Botanical Gardens is formed by an area for succulents (yucca, agave, cacti) and pot plants, surrounded with pergolas. The succulents house in the middle contains an almost fifty year-old more-than-man-size sub-species of the hundred-year agave and several impressive “elephant’s feet” (dioscorea elephantipes). Together with the plant exhibits, visitors can also admire charming compositions within a growth community, e.g. alpine shrubs among local travertine in the Alpine Garden. A visit to the Botanical Gardens can end with a walk through the Kneipp Pool.
