Reduced-rate admissionPosterstein Castle with its 25-metre tall keep was first mentioned in 1191. In the 16th/17th century, the fortress was transformed into a residential palace. The museum presents collections on the history of the fortress, cultural history and on the ancient and early history of the region "Altenburger Land".
