2014 sees the 25th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution in East Germany. Thuringia has borders with Lower Saxony, Hesse and Bavaria and offers a variety of different ways of focusing on this topic, with border museums, memorials, hiking and cycle routes but also special museums.
