Burgk Castle
Reduced-rate admissionBurgk Castle has historic rooms, a Knights' Hall, a castle chapel with a Silbermann organ, late medieval defences, an historic castle kitchen, music salon, Chinese room, show bedroom and a park with a music pavilion. The castle houses an art collection, and exhibitions and concerts are held here. The exhibits cover the fields of regional history, painting, graphics, glass and art books. The cultural events programme includes concerts and puppet theatre. Organ concerts are held in the castle chapel (140 seats) and chamber music concerts, serenades and lute concerts are staged in the Knights' Hall with 200 seats. In the park, there are Sophienhaus concerts and jazz is played in the inner courtyard. The programme offers tango and international music too. The concert season begins at Easter and ends in December.
