Moated Castle Kapellendorf
Reduced-rate admissionThe Moated Castle Kapellendorf is a well-preserved castle complex with a Romanesque central castle. During the 14th century it was transformed into a moated castle. Part of the castle complex are outer fortified walls, fortified towers and a dungeon tower. Very unusual is the medieval tiled-stove kitchen. In the bower there is a museum, called "Castles in Thuringia". Throughout the year castle festivals and concerts take place. You can also rent rooms for private celebrations.
