The two-wing Baroque building with its private rooms and rooms for entertaining guests documents the lifestyle of the nobility in Weimar at the end of the 18th century. Originally built for the Weimar Minister von Fritsch in 1767-1769, Duchess Anna Amalia used it as her town home after the fire in the City Palace.
